The Explorer

Over the course of human history. There have always been social frames and stereotypes that tell us what we should do at different stages in our life. Most of the time we don’t exercise free choice, but follow the rules of society.

The Explorer is a short 3D animated film that is also a dark comedy. During an exploratory journey to another planet, a young explorer, Bob, finds himself slowly losing what makes him unique. The look of the film is bright, playful, and toy-like, in an ironic contrast to the underlying dark tone of the story. This juxtaposition makes for a viewing experience that is both complex and entertaining.
